Nails Painted and Heavy Perfume.. surrprise visit - something wrong with this picture, or just me?

We left our cat with our in-laws, but came home early from trip to find that the cat's nails had been PAINTED and the cat smelled like perfume was sprayed directly on him!

My in-laws seem quite normal; they do like cats a lot, but isn't this a bit much? I wonder what they could possibly get out of this, and I don't think this is acceptable ... now I know what goes on when we leave the cat with them.

I was nudging my husband to say something, but he didn't even know what to say.

Should we just let it got ... Should I say something to them?

I thought our look of shock would have spoke volumes, but not one word was said about the cat in bright red nail polish, and heavy old-lady perfume!Nails Painted and Heavy Perfume.. surrprise visit - something wrong with this picture, or just me?
Poor kitty... I love my cat so much, there is so upsetting when someone is doing something like that to animals. I mean animals can't complain, have to swallow all those human stupidity.

I still would ask, what all that stuff means. You know, cats do not understand and will lick all over their body, so all that sh.. as nail polish and perfume can make them sick...Nails Painted and Heavy Perfume.. surrprise visit - something wrong with this picture, or just me?
Get over it *********. Haven't you got anything else to think about other than your cat? Use some nail polish remover and give it a shampoo. Good lord, they probably thought you'd appreciate it.
did they shave his sack for him too?
Get over it, move on. If you don't like their free services, leave the pet at a pet hotel the next time you are out of town.
You asked this 6 hours ago.

Got anything new?
hah, animal cruelty thing? i dont know.. let it go. it wont hurt the cat. the cat doesnt know. dont say anything to them tho. dont offend their lifestyle.
Someone was bored and the cat was the victim. If it bothers you that much, put the cat in an animal boarding room the next time you leave town. It's just not worth it to haggle over with the in laws. Although, you have to wonder what would happen to children.....
just be thankful it was not a child and dont say anything to them

and dont ask to have them watch him agin
They fed your cat and took care of her you should appreciate

that. You only need to be concerned if your cat is a male.

I agree your question history is quite funny!
maybe they just got bored so painted the cats nails. I've heard worse.
I'm surprised you let your husband get near enough to nudge him after his ';gaming'; dinner last week. Is he allowed to crap in the toilet now???
First of all, what does a cat wearing nail polish and perfume have to do with marriage and divorce? Maybe your cat just wasn't feeling pretty. Sometimes all it takes is a trip away from home to let your hair down and go wild for a change. Don't judge your cat. I'm sure it had a good time.

As for your husband, Man Law prohibits him from defending a cat. It just isn't done.

As far as your in laws go, they seemed cool with it. Take their stance and just let it go. It's probably just a ';look at me'; phase, kinda like those Goth kids. It'll pass. Good luck to you!
Don't worry about it?
haha. ur questions are always random..where do u come up with these ideas. look at her question history!
It seems to me like your in-laws really like cats. Or maybe they don't like the cats smell so they used perfume on it. As for the nail painting, well, you have to figure that one out on your own. At least you cat wasn't harmed.
It's a CAT. Get a LIFE.

it's an ivory colour with traces of silver. i'm not sure if red pained nails and toes will match the outfit + silver heels? if not, any suggestions? thanks :)Will red nails match the colour of my dress (picture included)?
i think what u should do is first u should paint your nails white and then u should put lines or decorate it with silver nail polish.......it would be something creative and it would look really pretty with the dress too...............hope i helped!!Will red nails match the colour of my dress (picture included)?
i think they would, you would just need to wear the same color red some where else too, wear a neckless or put your hair up with something. i think it would look really cute as long as you wear red somewhere else,

Good Luck with EVerything!
Personally I would do a french manicure and pedicure, with a shadow line of silver.
yes it would because it would make it more chic and add a bit of color

I never heard of cat's nails getting painted. I wouldn't reccomend it since they lick their paws and perfume can make a cat get a rash, depending on what kind. It's OK to worry. It means you love your cat. Sorry about all these people and their rude comments!Nails Painted and Heavy Perfume.. something wrong with this picture, or just me?
Let it go, it's none of you're business.
loads of groomers paint their dogs and cats nails , it is harmless and as far as the perfume, it wont hurt them either, they were probably just trying to help
I think that it is a little much for a cat. However, when we had our miniature poodles, the groomer would paint their nails and use a scented shampoo. They were ';Poodles'; after all.
I think it's funny and cute. Take a photo of the cat with painted nails and have it framed and give it to your in laws for a thank you gift for taking care of your cat.
That's interesting?

Does your inlaws have any young children??

It would be a little uncomfortable, I know, but just picking the cat up %26amp; taking one look at it, your inlaws would've seen your faces %26amp; known something was up.

Dropping a little comment of, ';Oh, how pretty you look with your nails painted, Oh you smell nice too, What's up with that?

And just wait for their reaction with a straight face

The nail polish and perfume wont har the cat. So he will just have to avoid other cats for a while as he wil definatley be one in a million
I don't think you should worry about it. Although I'm not sure if nail polish would hurt the cat if in jested, my cat sometimes bites his nails. I wonder if the nail polish groomers use is less toxic. If you really feel the need to say something, maybe just tell them that although Fluffy looked fab you decided he looks better in the natural look.
Let it go. It just sounds like they were having a little too much fun. Just don't let them watch your cat anymore if it bothered you that much. Maybe they thought it would be funny? I wouldn't babysit someone elses cat, so you've got to give them credit for taking care of it.
There's a reason why companies don't test products on animals you know.
no it's good...
let it go i dosen't really matter - maybe they got bored or something but its not a big thing to worry about.. and perfume and nailpolish cant harm a cat so its OK...
That is BAD. Do you think the cat liked it? I doubt it. Perfume can cause serious reactions in animals and the nail polish might be... I don't know... eaten. You don't have to say anything but I'd suggest you don't leave the cat with your in-laws again. Ever.
Actually nail polish and perfume do harm animals. Cats in particular have rough tongues that they use to clean themselves daily, when your cat tries to lick themselves it will digest all of the perfume on her hair. I would get a animal friendly shampoo and give your cat a bath to get the nail polish and perfume off.

Also, the next time you need a sitter for your cat either try to find another sitter or if you need your in laws to babysit, make up a story. Politely tell them last time when you guys were watching my kitty you sprayed perfume on her and she ended throwing up her food for several days. Explain to them that cats bath themselves with their tongues and everything that is in their fur they end up digesting. A little white lie doesn't hurt from time to time, plus this takes the blame off of you. You are just the messenger after all!
They should have said hey we are going to paint nails an spray perfume on your cat is this okay. It's your cat they had no right to do this .What if your child stays with them? What then when you

come back to Purple spiked Hair or worse....
I would wonder how they got the cat to stay still while they did it... Hopefully the cat was inside and not outside with it's kitty pimp working the corners... You should get a STD test and check it's cell phone for strange numbers... I would also look for signs of drug use or being at a rave party... Bad kitty!!!!!
The nailpolish is probably not too harmful so long as the cat does not ingest any, but cats lick themselves clean, and this could have unforeseen consequences. The perfume is a major concern. Vets are finding that allergies in pets are becoming very common due to all the smelly things like air fresheners and perfumes in our homes. A reaction to an inhalant like perfume could quite literally kill your cat, the same way it could kill a person with severe allergies. A cat can't tell you when it starts to feel bad or have trouble breathing, and by the time you notice it may be too late. Even without allergies, this is just cruel. Have you ever been near someone who was wearing too much perfume? Imagine how perfume smells to a cat, whose nose is approximately 14 times stronger than yours. Again, the fact that cats bathe by licking means that the cat can also ingest the chemicals in the perfume. While this may not seem like a large amount, consider how small a cat is. Even a trace amount may make the cat sick. your in-laws obviously do not know how to properly care for an animal, and should not be left with the cat unsupervised.
honestly... its over... its done.. .let it be but just be aware next time u go on a trip... if u dont like the treatment they offer you should choose another place... The nail polish wont hurt and if they love cats they probably used an animal safe fragrance.. the only trouble would be the animal injesting the fragrance through natural groomin i.e. LICKING THEMSELVES or skin scalp irritation.. They do sell animal fragrances and they can be a pleasant change to cat or dog odors... its not a big deal at least u know they loved on the cat and didnt throw it down in a basement for the entire trip... be appreciative for what they did do and try to ignore the other stuff.....
That is really weird! i mean it is a cat and it no going to the prom or anything. that is ridiculous. but just let it go unless it happens again.
What is the freakin big deal. You should be happy that they liked ur cat that much that they kinda spent time with it and painted its nails.

My sons toe nails look like they're popping up? Picture included!?

The next shoe size is too big for him, so it can't be his shoes... any ideas? he drinks lots of milk! They're yellow at the tops, and on a couple of them, look to be actually popping UP.. he DOES have a doctors appt friday but I'm just curious NOW..

it could be something fungal but im really not sure. good thing you made a doc app.My sons toe nails look like they're popping up? Picture included!?
Do not worry about it, my daughter was born with the nails like that, I notice she liked to curl her toes, and the socks got stock on her nails a lot, some times it is just the way how they walk and curl their toes, but it is a good idea to make it check with the pediatrician, she is 2 years and 3 months old now and her nail are normal looking. My mother in law told me that all her children had their toe nails like that when they were infants. But if your son's toe nails became like that and did not born with it, maybe something else and it is good that you make an appointment with the doctor. Hope everything is well.

If you have, did it hurt?Yesterday, I saw a picture of a guy who had nailed his scrotum to a table. Have you ever done this...?
In the Darwin Awards, there's the story of an Australian guy that did this, and set his penis on fire, as a bet. He got $200 (Australian). Not worth it, I'd say!

But since people pierce the scrotum, I guess nailing to a block of wood wouldn't be any worse.Yesterday, I saw a picture of a guy who had nailed his scrotum to a table. Have you ever done this...?
yes,and the face i made was like the picture of your profile!!!!!
um i havent done it but im pretty sure it would hurt
    Why?
i do it every thursday just for fun of course...............the grandkids love my little party trick.
Well, I dont have a scrotum connected to me but there are a few Id love to force this experience upon.
No that would be sillly...... i like my balls
    whatever turns him on
I have done this. I nailed a guy's scrotum to the table and it didn't hurt me one bit. It was a very pleasant feeling. He did seem to have tears in his eyes though.
Is that the guy whose brains rolled out onto the table?
    No, and don`t want to
Ha ha ha ha that's a classic :0) ROFL
ud have to be a nutter to do this but i suppose its bin done thousands of times, i saw a similar thing on a chinese show my god it looked painful and the guy didnt even flinch ouch ill ask my man if he would try it ha dont think so do you? surely it affects ur c o c k somehow i dont mean the way u perform but maybe its stays all saggy and horrid yak

I hav heard of some kinky things, but i think i would prefer the ';BOBBIT'; approach to revenge myself - at least it is only one quick swipe of pain ( UMM am I confessing to cheating - maybe I should shut up..........OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOUCH GET AWAY FROM ME WITH THAT HAMMER LUV)
    Ouch
why dont you try it and see
Yes, I have. Seen the picture, I mean - not nailed my scrotum to a table! In answer to the second part of your question, no - loooking at the picture didn't hurt, though it did make me wince a bit.
oh yeah i do it to my man every day!! He really enjoys it!
by the looks of ya i would say ya already know all the answers to that,,,,,,,,numb nutz,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Yea, I've seen those pictures too. And no I haven't done it but if you'd like yours nailed down just drop over and I'll see what I can do for you - hehe.

Do you think nails like this are tacky? (picture)?

http://i290.photobucket.com/albums/ll258…Do you think nails like this are tacky? (picture)?
If you have to ASK if something is tacky...I think you already have the answer...show me ONE style and beauty icon that currently has a thick, plastic, squarish french manicure. (think Nicole Kidman, Madonna, Scarlett, Natalie Portman) You won't find one. Pamala Anderson on the otherhand...

Fake nails are stripper-ish...for those out there that think guys find them sexy - these are probably the same guys that really like giant, fake boobs, perma-tan and big hair.Do you think nails like this are tacky? (picture)?
    TACKY? HELL NAW!

I WAS AFRAID TO LOOK AT THE PIC, THINKING THEY WERE GONNA BE THIS PAIR OF LOOOOOONG %26amp; GAWDY, CURLED UNDER, MAKE ME WANNA GAG TYPE NAILS! HA HA HA

WHEW! THAT WAS A SCARY THOUGHT. LOL

Tacky..no. That's how I get mines done. French tips. But not so long.
it depends on how good of a job the nail place does. don't get them too square.
they're just acylics with a french manicure. nothing wrong with them. just make sure they are too long.
I think that if you don't overdo it, ive seen tackier. lots of conservative people wear this style of nails
