We left our cat with our in-laws, but came home early from trip to find that the cat's nails had been PAINTED and the cat smelled like perfume was sprayed directly on him!
My in-laws seem quite normal; they do like cats a lot, but isn't this a bit much? I wonder what they could possibly get out of this, and I don't think this is acceptable ... now I know what goes on when we leave the cat with them.
I was nudging my husband to say something, but he didn't even know what to say.
Should we just let it got ... Should I say something to them?

Poor kitty... I love my cat so much, there is so upsetting when someone is doing something like that to animals. I mean animals can't complain, have to swallow all those human stupidity.

Someone was bored and the cat was the victim. If it bothers you that much, put the cat in an animal boarding room the next time you leave town. It's just not worth it to haggle over with the in laws. Although, you have to wonder what would happen to children.....

First of all, what does a cat wearing nail polish and perfume have to do with marriage and divorce? Maybe your cat just wasn't feeling pretty. Sometimes all it takes is a trip away from home to let your hair down and go wild for a change. Don't judge your cat. I'm sure it had a good time.
As for your husband, Man Law prohibits him from defending a cat. It just isn't done.

Will red nails match the colour of my dress (picture included)?

it's an ivory colour with traces of silver. i'm not sure if red pained nails and toes will match the outfit + silver heels? if not, any suggestions? thanks :)Will red nails match the colour of my dress (picture included)?

I never heard of cat's nails getting painted. I wouldn't reccomend it since they lick their paws and perfume can make a cat get a rash, depending on what kind. It's OK to worry. loads of groomers paint their dogs and cats nails , it is harmless and as far as the perfume, it wont hurt them either, they were probably just trying to help
I think that it is a little much for a cat. However, when we had our miniature poodles, the groomer would paint their nails and use a scented shampoo. They were ';Poodles'; after all.
I think it's funny and cute. Take a photo of the cat with painted nails and have it framed and give it to your in laws for a thank you gift for taking care of your cat.

If you really feel the need to say something, maybe just tell them that although Fluffy looked fab you decided he looks better in the natural look.

I would get a animal friendly shampoo and give your cat a bath to get the nail polish and perfume off.

Politely tell them last time when you guys were watching my kitty you sprayed perfume on her and she ended throwing up her food for several days. Explain to them that cats bath themselves with their tongues and everything that is in their fur they end up digesting. A little white lie doesn't hurt from time to time, plus this takes the blame off of you. You are just the messenger after all!

They do sell animal fragrances and they can be a pleasant change to cat or dog odors... its not a big deal at least u know they loved on the cat and didnt throw it down in a basement for the entire trip... be appreciative for what they did do and try to ignore the other stuff.....

The next shoe size is too big for him, so it can't be his shoes... any ideas? he drinks lots of milk! They're yellow at the tops, and on a couple of them, look to be actually popping UP.. he DOES have a doctors appt friday but I'm just curious NOW..

Do not worry about it, my daughter was born with the nails like that, I notice she liked to curl her toes, and the socks got stock on her nails a lot, some times it is just the way how they walk and curl their toes, but it is a good idea to make it check with the pediatrician, she is 2 years and 3 months old now and her nail are normal looking. My mother in law told me that all her children had their toe nails like that when they were infants. But if your son's toe nails became like that and did not born with it, maybe something else and it is good that you make an appointment with the doctor. Hope everything is well.social networking

and go to the nail salon and get a manicure with a color of your choice or french manicure, they'll take off your polish and fix your cuticles. One MAJOR thing not to do, DON'T get fake nails put on. My mom had them done alot when she was young and now her nails are weak and break and bend and not as healthy looking as they were before. French manicures and regular manicures still look awesome but won't damage them.

I have noticed that a lot of people I know that bite their nails have tried everything. From putting chile on their nails to painting them with nasty flavored things and they just dont work. I would recommend you to chew on other things like gum or even put a plastic button inside your mouth just to distract your from your beautiful naiils. I know for a fact that nails and hair grow faster in humid places so if you want your nails to grow faster keep your hands a little wet. Good luck

i heard that if u buy a clear nailpolish and put in tiny pieces of garlic in it and leave it like that for 2 dys and then polish ur nails with it will help ur nails grow just try hard not to bite them oh and it has to be ur only polish on do dont put any color polish just the clear one

I don't think they're that long, but people always point them out and ask about them. Some people say they're creepy. These pictures are kind of weird lol. I was trying to get different angles.

Some salons have ';air brushing'; and others have nail techs that are good in freehand styles.
Each place does it different...this happened to me this weekend...I wanted black nails with White tips and she said she couldnt do it. I wondered why, if they can do a french manicure and paint a white tip over pink, why couldnt they paint white over the black...but I found out that that salon puts the white tips on first and perfects them with a special brush THEN puts the other color over therefore, they couldnt use Black to paint over the white.
Each place is different!

Some salons have ';air brushing'; and others have nail techs that are good in freehand styles.
Each place does it different...this happened to me this weekend...I wanted black nails with White tips and she said she couldnt do it. I wondered why, if they can do a french manicure and paint a white tip over pink, why couldnt they paint white over the black...but I found out that that salon puts the white tips on first and perfects them with a special brush THEN puts the other color over therefore, they couldnt use Black to paint over the white.

maybe, depends what they can do. try it. but they have like a huge list of sample ones you can use. mine has like 50 on one, and 50 on the other, then 20 in front lol. so im sure they probly could

For as long as I can remember, my nails have been a funny color. They've been that way since I was a child. Apparently, it's a sign of a lot of diseases, but wouldn't I have had something wrong with me by now? Why are my nails this color?

Ok.. Well there is 3M double sided tape. It holds both the picture and the wall and when removed does not leave any marks or rip paint or wall paper off. You can get it at most retail stores or online at the 3M website. The double sided tape is strong and durable, but not too strong. Hopefully that helps..

I've found that those adhesive hooks from 3M work really well, so long as you have a smooth wall. When you are done using them they really do pull off cleanly like in the ads. What kind of nails should go in the wall to hang a picture using sawtooth hanger?
I am trying to hang a picture with dimensions 39*15 on the wall and it has 2 sawtooth hangers at top of each ends. What kind of nails (and their dimensions) should i put in wall to hold the sawtooth hanger? as in, flat head, brad (i am not even sure what they mean tho') and can i put the nail in directly in the wall?

The type of nail would depend on the weight of the frame etc. If it is heavier than a few pounds than you want to nail directly into a stud if the spacing allows. A 4d(penny) box nail will work fine. Other options are screws with anchors if your wall covering is drywall, or there are several types of adhesive hangers. How do hang a heavy picture frame without using nails or screws?

One of my thumbs is wide and stubby like a toe and one is like a regular thumb. On the part of your thumb closest to the skin there is a white half moon, one thumb does not have this so it looks quite funny. I get made fun of for it alot and it really bothers me. If it's really that bad you could have your thumb fixed my plactic surgeons, but that is probably not neccencery

My nail broke half way and i started to peel it all the way down now i got no nail!!!!!!!! there is thick heavy rough nail attached only to my cuteiteacal only. i got blisters around nail and hand and finger and spreed to other hand my body aches and head aches and i get dizzy and see black spots. what is going on? i can't afford nail salon or doctor. how to deal? how to treat? i put bandaid but it don't work. with no band aid my skin split off. i am depressed, afraid, worried, nervous, etc. this is NO JOKE. Serious answers only.thank you

You need to bathe it in some sort of antiseptic. Epsom salts are good too. Dry it then put antiseptic or tea tree cream on it and cover it for a while. Band aids would be too small. You need something larger but I can't remember what they're called, wound covers/gauze squares and use first aid/surgical tape to attach it to your finger at the top and bottom.
If you have blisters that have spread it could be infectious or could be more serious than a dodgy nail or they could be unrelated.
Aches could mean anything. Again could be unrelated but could be connected to the infection too. Try paracetamol as you may have a raised temperature while your body fights the infection.
Dizzy spells and black spots are not good. Try not to get up or sit down too quick while your finger is bad. The paracetamol may help with this.

My finger nails peel??? [PICTURES]?
About a year ago my nails started doing this werid peeling thing. Its like a top layer of the nail is so thin it peels off. Its not the pink part its the white nail part you can clip off. I've tried Nail Teck nail medicines and its not working. I've been taking a nail file and filing it off. What is wrong with my nails? do you reconize it? please be nice :P

You need a dull blood test from your Doctor.
