A nail is hammered into a wall, then a picture is hung on the nail.?

Describe the transfers of pressure involved in this process. Why is it sometimes necessary to use two nails?

please answer asap thanks

10 pointsA nail is hammered into a wall, then a picture is hung on the nail.?
The nail is hammered into the wall at 90 degrees. The picture weighs 10 pounds. The 10 pounds is pulling down to the floor. When you hang it on the nail the 10 pounds is transferred to the nail. It takes 20 pounds to bend the nail down. The nail will not bend under the picture weight. It only takes 8 pounds to rip the nail out of the wall though. The 10 pounds is successfully transferred from the picture to the nail and then unsuccessfully transferred to the wall. The picture falls. If you add a second nail and hang the picture over both then the nails together are held to the wall with 8 plus 8 = 16 pounds. The 10 pound picture is now supported by 20 pounds of resistance from the nails and 18 from the wall. The picture will not fall.A nail is hammered into a wall, then a picture is hung on the nail.?
Its nessacary to use two nails because depending on the weight of the frame and picture one might not be strong to hold the picture. and YES You do put the nail in first but you'll have to drill a hoel in the panting. for easy hang up just place the panting on a spot make sure its stright and nail it into the wall.
well i mean you dont have to do it that way. i personally hammer the nail through the frame and picture then hammer it into the wall. i mean it works wonders. dont worry about the shattered glass or your cut up fingers, its so much better than actually having to use two nails.
i shall not explain thy answer to you currently, why you ask? I have recently returned to my home, and my mother who lives with me, has givin me a terrible head ache. How you ask? that is personal bussnies sorry. But if you would like, research it on google. Whats google you ask? its an internet search engine. Can I use it you ask? of coarse you can, it is free to all home computer and laptop owners. I have apple, so i own a notebook, can I still use it you ask? Well im going to be honest with you, i do not own a apple brand ';notepad'; but im sure you can just go to:

www.google.com
well the pressure is when the hammar in hitting the nail into the wall, which puts the pressure more so towards the nail. you may have to use 2 nails to make the hole bigger in order for the picture to hang. make sence? i hope this was what you are looking for? =)
The nail is used for the picture to be centered perfect on the wall, of course, and it maybe necessary to use two nails if the dimensions of the picture are not even on every side
ummm well when the pec is hung on the nail the nail goes domw and the wall leaves a crack going down which make the pic fall dowm even more and the crack going down even lower that it will fall
yes the nail is placed but i would hold the picture up to make sure you know exactly where to place the nail. this way you know what to expect.
The pressure from the nail is put into the wall, putting the picture on the wall adds pressure to the nail and the wall.
Well the picture may not be able to hold up on one nail. The second nail transfers half that torque to the other nail.
the pressure is downward, two nails balance the force from the picture.
You use three nails when the picture is wide and heavy.
If the pic is on dry wall you need an anchor..if you hit a board no problem..
one if its a clock 2 if its a framed pic dude...
