What is a good alternative to hammer+nail when hanging pictures and other decor?

Are there other ways of hanging frames and decor?





What about wall shelving?

clean walls with nothing on them but paint are a ton more relaxing...





but if you need to hang stuff up, just use really thin nails.





cuz that stupid velcro thing is more damaging than hammer+nail... you can plaster a hammer/nail issue and dab a little paint on it if worse comes to worse.. but once you put the velcro thing on there is no going back... even those really thick double sided strips are a nuisance to deal with, can't be removed without damaging the wall more than a hammer and nails will.What is a good alternative to hammer+nail when hanging pictures and other decor?
I have had good luck with gorilla velcro available at hardware stores.
